God calls us to minister together. We have than 14 ministries of worship, service, fellowship, and outreach so we can work together to do what God has called us to do. Learn more about them on our ministries page. Part of being a disciple is worshiping and serving together.
Reverend Daniels has served as pastor of St. John’s Missionary Baptist Church since May 1985. Although his calling in the ministry is focused on the spiritual growth and development of the body Christ, his approach to ministry is holistic. He is concerned about the social, economic and political aspects of the Church as well. Pastor Daniels teaches that we are to love God through His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ; we are to learn the Word of God and we are to live out the Gospel, so that others may see and know the risen Saviour in our lives.
He is engaged in community, local and state issues that pertain to the health and welfare of the Durham neighborhood, known as Walltown. His current involvement includes serving as an Adjunct Chaplain for Duke Regional Hospital, Treasurer of the Walltown Neighborhood Ministry and a member of the East Cedar Grove Baptist Association.
Pastor Daniels is an alumnus of the American Baptist College & Seminary in Nashville, Tennessee with a Bachelor’s in Religion and the Duke University School of Divinity in Durham, North Carolina with a Master of Divinity with an emphasis in Pastoral Care.
He is married to Kathleen M. Daniels and enjoys reading, sports, fishing and traveling.
